Friends, there is an important question that each of us needs to ask for ourselves. As many of us have studied the book of John, we got to know Jesus and what He did here during His ministry. In Matthew 16:15, Jesus asks his disciples this question: "But who do you say I am?" This week, we encourage you to ask yourself that same question. Joel Houston offers some beautiful words to consider in this performance of "Oceans". You can even start at minute 12:43 to hear him talk about Matthew 16. We can look at the book of John to help summarize the mission for which the Father sent Jesus into the world. It's hard not to praise Jesus when we consider what He came to do!
Jot down some notes you learn from John 1:12-14, 18; 3:16-17; 4:35; 5:24-30; 10:17-18; 12:23-24, 27-28, 46; 18:37; 19:30. (NavPress. Life Change Series: John. 1988, 2010) Ask yourself, "who is Jesus to me?" When we abide, we get to see and hear and feel for ourselves who Jesus is. We continue to be so incredibly thankful for each of you and the encouragement that is flying around at our gatherings and throughout the month! We hope to see you again tomorrow, Friday, February 1st at 6:30! Everyone is welcome!
