Our monthly Gatherings continue to be source of joy, wonderful community fellowship, and encouragement. Here's what we covered this week on Feb. 5 just in case you missed it! Song: Let There Be Light (Acoustic)- Hillsong Read: John 1:1-14 Reflection: How would you describe darkness? What effect does darkness have on us? Isaiah 59:9b-10 describes life without the Light of the Lord. What effect does light have on the darkness? Christ offers His light to every person, but each of us must personally make the choice to follow or reject him. “To all who believed and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12) See prayer below... Accept the gift of Light and Life Jesus offers: “Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, that you died on the cross to rescue me from sin and death and to restore me to the Father. I believe you overcame death and are alive, preparing a place for me in heaven. I choose now to turn from my sins, my self-centeredness, and every part of my life that does not please you. I choose you. I gratefully receive your forgiveness and ask you to take your rightful place in my life as my Savior and Lord. Come reign in my heart, fill me with your love and your life, and help me to become a person who is truly loving—a person like you. Restore me, Jesus. Live in me. Love through me. Thank you, God. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.” More Scripture about Light:
"I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark." John 12:46
